Job Description

Green Coyote Cantina in Marietta is seeking a charismatic and enthusiastic Host to join their team.

We're a fun-loving restaurant that prides ourselves on old-fashioned hospitality, classic Tex-Mex, and fresh margaritas. Our ideal candidate is a hard worker, self-starter, and possesses the intangibles we're looking for - helpful, kind, and fun to be around.

Responsibilities include:

  • Following our Steps of Service and Host with Mostess Guidelines.
  • Greeting incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact.
  • Carrying natural conversation with Guests without sounding scripted or intrusive.
  • Thanking guests when leaving and inviting them to come back soon.
  • Understanding and operating the wait systems and informing Guests of their wait time.
  • Monitoring the waiting list, alerting guests when tables are ready, and showing them to their table.
  • Using visual cues to seat guests in either the bar or dining area depending on their preference and escorting them to the assigned dining area; presenting menus; announcing server/bartender name.
  • Informing Guests of current specials/promotions and who will be serving.
  • Answering incoming calls to the restaurant and providing appropriate service.
  • Tending to special guest needs and requests.
  • Caring for our guests by refilling beverages and performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning glasses and menus and ensuring restrooms are clean, stocked, and orderly.
  • Protecting establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol awareness policies.
  • Helping dining room staff by setting and clearing tables; replenishing beverages when requested.
  • Assisting with guiding guests to go pick up areas.
  • Performing side duties and daily and weekly cleaning tasks as directed by management.
  • Adhering to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
  • Promptly addressing customer service issues and referring to management when necessary.
