The Inpatient Psychiatric Social Worker LCSW-Psychiatric is a key member of the interdisciplinary team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, providing essential psychosocial care to patients and their families. This role requires a strong understanding of the psychosocial needs of patients and their families, as well as the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' psychosocial needs and develop individualized treatment plans to address these needs.
- Implementation and Intervention: Provide psychosocial interventions to patients and their families, including crisis intervention and motivational interviewing.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Community Resources: Maintain knowledge of community resources and provide referrals to patients and their families as needed.
- Education: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in inpatient psychiatric social work or related field.
- Licensure: LCSW licensure in the state of Illinois.
This is a full-time, 80-hour per pay period position, working 8-hour day shifts with alternating weekends and holidays.
