Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to join our team at Satellite Services, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing, servicing, and repairing environmental-control systems in office buildings and industrial areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, service, and repair environmental-control systems, including compressor and condenser units, ductwork, and chassis parts.
  • Cut and bend tubing to correct length and shape, using cutting and bending equipment and tools.
  • Join tubing or pipes to various refrigerating units by means of sleeves, couplings, or unions, and solder joints using a torch.
  • Connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connect control panels to a power source.
  • Install air and water filters in completed installations, inject small amounts of refrigerant into compressors to test systems, and add Freon gas to build up prescribed operating pressure.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Security Clearance (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a HVAC Mechanic
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in engineering or related field with 2-3 years working experience as a HVAC Mechanic
  • Three to five years in HVAC equipment and controls maintenance and repair in an industrial setting
Work Schedule
  • Full-Time
  • Position may include some shift work and Holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays
