About the Job

As an Advanced EMT, you will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance, providing high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting patient assessments, determining necessary care, and delivering emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
  • Documenting patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.

You will also be responsible for operating an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • A State Driver's License
  • National or State Advanced EMT certification
  • CPR/BLS certifications
  • A driving record in compliance with company policy
  • The ability to pass a Physical Agility Test
Working Conditions and Requirements

This position requires working days, nights, weekends, and holidays, extended workdays, and long periods inside the ambulance. You may work indoors or outdoors with exposure to weather and possible routine exposure to moderate noise levels.

In terms of physical demands, you will need to perform moderate to extended amounts of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as some repetitive motion activities. You will routinely lift more than 200 lbs. with assistance and will be required to push, pull, reach, lift, bend, squat, kneel, twist, carry, type, and stair climb. Visual identification of color-coded items and clear speech and hearing are also essential.

This role also requires critical thinking skills, the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems, and the ability to work under fatigue, high pressure, and exposure to stressful situations.

$1.5k sign-on bonus is available for full-time positions with a one-year commitment.

$51,000 - $71,000 estimated annual salary based on experience and qualifications.
