Position SummaryRemote Opportunity
This role encompasses a wide array of essential responsibilities, including drafting legal documents and correspondence for review, compiling and analyzing information, and facilitating communication among legal counsel, internal teams, and external parties. The position also entails providing paralegal support for the negotiation, development, and management of commercial contracts and associated documentation. Additionally, the role involves reporting on key performance metrics and ensuring compliance with service level agreements regarding review turnaround times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft or modify contracts, reports, correspondence, and other legal documents for managerial or legal approval.
- Ensure compliance with all corporate contracting regulations and standards.
- Generate various business unit reports and analyses related to contracts and specific clauses for multiple departments, including legal, finance, tax, and HR.
- Assist in various transactions and special projects as needed.
- Support business personnel in negotiating contract terms with clients, including reviewing agreements and recommending language.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the contract lifecycle management system to monitor contracts and follow up as necessary.
- Facilitate contract training for relevant business personnel.
- Conduct legal research as assigned, analyzing statutes, judicial decisions, and legal codes to inform contract clauses and enforceability.
- Manage daily workflow and operations related to commercial contracting, including contract maintenance and accuracy checks.
- Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining document management systems, obtaining signatures, proofreading, and generating reports.
- Complete other related tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience as a corporate paralegal.
- Preferred certification in paralegal studies or NCMA.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies.
- Understanding of administrative practices and concepts.
- Familiarity with automation tools and database management.
- Strong written communication and report writing skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Innovative thinker capable of proposing creative solutions.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
