Position Overview:
The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is actively seeking skilled and motivated Registered Nurses to join our dedicated team within the Ocala Outpatient Clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
We have openings for RNs who are passionate about delivering Primary Care in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This role involves direct patient interaction, catering to Veterans who require medical assistance through both scheduled visits and walk-in services.
This department is committed to a patient-centered approach and emphasizes teamwork. Our primary care services aim to create and implement a comprehensive care plan tailored to each patient and their family, focusing on preventive health and education.
Essential Duties Include:
- Conducting video consultations
- Providing education to patients and families, including chronic disease management
- Collaborating with the PACT team for effective patient care management
- Delivering healthy lifestyle coaching and education
- Performing patient assessments with critical thinking
- Utilizing procedural skills and managing computerized records
- Exemplifying excellent customer service
Compensation and Benefits:
The VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes:

Work Schedule:
This position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Telework is available on an ad-hoc basis, but this is not a virtual position.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a full and unrestricted nursing license from any U.S. state or territory. Additionally, candidates should meet the following basic requirements:
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current, active registration as a professional nurse
Preferred Experience:
3-5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
Applicants must have the mental and physical capability to perform the duties of the position, which may include lifting, carrying, and managing patient care equipment. The role may also involve exposure to patients with infectious conditions and requires adherence to safety protocols.
