Become a vital part of the Bashas' team as a Wine Consultant, where your enthusiasm for wines, beers, and spirits will shine. In this pivotal role within our beverage department, you will contribute significantly to our sales objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Foster a welcoming and amiable atmosphere for customers and colleagues
- Interact with patrons by providing detailed product insights, recommendations, and engaging sampling experiences
- Assist in organizing and conducting tastings and special events
- Offer knowledgeable guidance to customers regarding our beverage selections
- Ensure accurate pricing, signage, and shelf displays
- Maintain the beverage area in a clean, appealing, and well-stocked condition
- Manage the ordering, pricing, and stocking of products including wines, beers, spirits, and cigars
- Adhere to all relevant liquor regulations and health standards
- Perform additional responsibilities as directed by management
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. It is essential to maintain a helpful, respectful, and courteous demeanor at all times. A solid understanding of wines, beers, and other beverages is required. Candidates should possess effective sales skills and the ability to work independently. Compliance with all liquor laws and food safety protocols is mandatory. Strong communication skills and active listening to customers and team members are crucial. The role requires the ability to lift and handle merchandise weighing up to 40 lbs and to work in refrigerated environments.
