Vaccination Requirements:
Hepatitis B, Influenza, and COVID-19 vaccinations are mandatory. Religious and medical exemptions for COVID-19 and Influenza are accepted; however, other vaccinations are strictly required.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field is required. Candidates with an MLT background and appropriate experience will also be considered. ASCP or AMT certification is mandatory for this role.

Shift Details:
4 x 10 hour shifts, 3rd shift from 9 PM to 7:30 AM. Training will occur on the first shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Training duration averages two weeks for candidates with blood bank experience; otherwise, it may extend to six weeks.

Preferred Experience:
Blood bank experience is highly preferred but not a strict requirement. Generalist experience in areas such as Coagulation, Hematology, and Urinalysis is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the acceptability of specimens for testing based on established criteria.
- Conduct routine and complex technical procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure optimal functionality.
- Make informed technical decisions regarding testing and problem resolution.
- Prepare, test, and assess new reagents or controls.
- Deliver accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
- Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Maintain adequate testing bench supplies and assist with specimen processing as needed.

Work Environment:
Maintain a safe laboratory environment and adhere to personal protective equipment protocols.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or equivalent local regulatory requirements.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in computer usage; familiarity with laboratory information systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
- Candidates must pass a standardized color vision screening.
- Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts as required by business needs.
