Radiology Technician

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at Southwest Connecticut Surgery Center, LLC. As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, performing diagnostic x-rays, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

• Operate C-arm and imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for surgeons to review
• Set up and prepare equipment and rooms for exams, ensuring proper cleaning and storage
• Maintain competencies, CEUs, and attend in-services to stay up-to-date on radiology safety and best practices
• Transport patients and equipment as needed
• Obtain and maintain accurate patient documentation and confidentiality
• Clean and maintain work areas, ensuring a safe and efficient environment
• Check equipment and accessories for proper working order and notify maintenance personnel as needed
• Communicate effectively with staff and physicians to ensure smooth operations

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Current CPR certification and ARRT certification (preferred)
• One or more years of experience in pain management and/or ambulatory surgery center/hospital experience (preferred)
• Proficient in imaging and related radiology equipment
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This is a part-time, per diem position with occasional overtime. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle stress associated with prioritizing multiple tasks.
