Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced CDL Shuttle Driver to join our team at Aramark Uniform Services. As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a company vehicle/truck to transport products between Market Centers and remote/depot locations on time and according to route delivery and facility processing schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely Operate a Company Vehicle/Truck: Safely operate a company vehicle/truck to transport products between Market Centers and remote/depot locations on time and according to route delivery and facility processing schedules.
  • Confirm Route Scheduled and Details: Confirm route scheduled and details with Market Center Production Manager.
  • Verify Daily Preventative Maintenance: Verify daily preventative maintenance of vehicle/truck, schedules regular maintenance for tractor/trailer, and maintains proper operator documentation, driver duty status logs, daily vehicle inspections reports, and schedules.
  • Manage Daily Route: Manage daily route to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product; Loads/unloads product per company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ensure Personal and Others' Safety: Take responsibility for your personal safety and watch out for the safety of others in the Market Center and across the road transportation.
  • Adhere to Safe Work Practices: Use safe precautions, proper tools, and equipment, and adhere to all safe work practices and policies.
  • Comply with Federal, State, and Local Laws: Knows and adheres to Federal, State, and local highway transportation laws and regulations.
  • Carry Required Documents: Carries at all times the required driving license and medical certification as required by state/federal regulations.
  • Perform Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities described above.
Working Environment/Safety Requirements
  • Exposure to Adverse Weather Conditions: Exposure to adverse and varying weather conditions which may include extreme hot/cold temperatures depending on geographical location.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Fast-paced environment requiring irregular and long hours.
  • Exposure to Odors/Fumes, Noise, and Vibration: Exposure to odors/fumes, noise, and vibration.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting and Maneuvering: Must be able to routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 lbs. and load/unload product from truck without assistance.
  • Occasional Lifting and Maneuvering: Must be able to occasionally lift and maneuver 50+ lbs.
  • Standing and Walking: Stand/walk while loading and unloading.
  • Sitting and Grasping: Frequently sit while driving for prolonged periods between locations, and requires the use of hand for grasping and other manipulations.
  • Pushing and Pulling: Must be able to occasionally push and pull a force up to 50+ lbs. moving carts and pallets.
  • Bending, Squatting, Climbing, and Reaching: Requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
Experience and Education
  • Minimum 1 Year Driving Experience: Minimum 1 year driving experience required.
  • Previous Truck Driving Experience: 1-year previous truck driving experience in a similar vehicle to what is required on the job, or equivalent experience.
  • High School Degree or Equivalent: High school degree or equivalent preferred.
License Requirements/Certifications
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License: Valid Commercial Driver's License.
  • Meet Minimum DMV/MVR Points: Meet minimum DMV/MVR points per company policy.
  • Current CDL-A License: Current CDL-A License.
