Position Overview

B Positive National Blood Services LLC is actively seeking a qualified LPN/Paramedic to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional blood plasma donation services.

Availability: Monday - Friday. Competitive compensation with an additional $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are essential to the role:

  • Conduct thorough physical assessments and gather medical histories to determine donor eligibility, adhering to FDA-approved protocols and relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Review and validate donor suitability by analyzing laboratory results and maintaining accurate donor records.
  • Support donor counseling and testing processes, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Provide immediate care and support during any adverse donor reactions.
  • Assist in training new staff members as required.
  • Collaborate with the Medical/Laboratory Director in accordance with company policies.
  • Participate in various operational tasks, including vital signs monitoring, donor registration, and laboratory processing.
  • Travel to additional facilities as needed for training or staffing support.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Valid nursing (LPN) or Paramedic license in good standing.
  • Current CPR and BLS certifications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in English reading and writing.
  • Experience in phlebotomy is advantageous.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Dependable and punctual with reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to read various documents and computer screens.
  • Capable of sitting for extended periods and performing tasks on a computer.
  • Ability to hear alarms and other auditory signals.
  • Comfortable working under observation during quality inspections.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
Equipment Proficiency

Familiarity with the following equipment is necessary:

  • Basic computer operations.
  • Hematastat II, Refractometer, and other medical devices.
