We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at The Mar-a-Lago Club. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality desserts and breads for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and provide a variety of desserts and breads in large quantities, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain accurate counts and inventory of food items, ensuring no discrepancies.
- Check the quality of products and follow proper storage procedures.
- Gather and stock ingredients and products, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Set up buffets and action stations for main house and banquet events, providing exceptional service to our guests.
- Assist with plating up desserts in banquets and maintain cleanliness of all work areas and equipment.
- Follow safety and sanitary food handling practices to ensure high-quality standards.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- One year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
- Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
This role requires occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and a moderate noise level in the work environment.
