About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Escalation Engineer to join our team at Amazon Web Services, Inc. As an Escalation Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving complex technical issues that impact our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide critical incident response and management for customer-facing issues
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve incident response and resolution processes
  • Analyze data trends to identify potential issues and improve overall customer experience
  • Design and implement solutions to improve incident response and resolution processes

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • 2+ years of experience in Support Engineering, Customer Escalations, Technical Communications, or similar IT role
  • Industry-specific certification(s) such as the AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certification or higher
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in Incident or Problem Management for cloud-based infrastructure
  • Familiarity with operating or designing distributed architectures
  • Experience creating or designing cloud application architectures with a focus on high availability
  • Experience with JavaScript, PowerShell, and/or BASH scripting
