Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Analyst to join our team at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for processing payroll, auditing time cards, and ensuring compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll, including entering payroll information, proofing completed payroll, and performing analysis of payroll-related accounts.
  • Audit time cards as required and ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Perform quarterly and annual reporting required by state and federal agencies.
  • Resolve matters related to payroll tax environment, including calculation and reporting of tax liabilities.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, projections, and special reports for the Controller.
  • Develop reports and perform analysis of Timekeeping and HR/Payroll systems to ensure payroll entry accuracy.
  • Research accounting treatment of complex transactions and perform periodic internal audits of various payroll areas.
  • Maintain payroll-related general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of accounts.
  • Assist in training and documentation of reference material.
Requirements:
  • College-level accounting coursework or equivalent work experience.
  • Four years of payroll work experience required.
  • Demonstrated work experience in a highly computerized organization with familiarity of financial and HR/payroll systems.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of labor law regulations, including state and federal tax preparation and filing.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Knowledge of PC software, including Excel, Microsoft Word, and Windows.
