We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our kitchen team at Verdugo Restaurant Corporation.

Job Summary

The Dishwasher will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating and Maintaining Dishwashing Equipment: Load and unload dishes, utensils, and equipment into the dishwasher, troubleshoot and fix any issues with the machine.
  • Sorting and Organizing Dishes: Sort dishes and utensils into categories to ensure proper cleaning, load dishes efficiently into the machine.
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing Dishes: Use detergents and sanitizers, hot water, and high-pressure sprayers to remove food particles and kill bacteria.
  • Maintaining a Clean and Organized Workspace: Keep the kitchen area clean, sweep, mop, and wipe down counters and equipment.
  • Assisting Kitchen Staff: Assist with food prep, plating, and other tasks as needed during busy times.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations: Wear protective gear, follow health and safety protocols to prevent disease spread.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent lifting, moving, and carrying of plate ware, cleaning equipment, and garbage (up to 50 pounds).
  • Regular and prolonged standing and walking to wash dishes, move garbage, etc.
  • Occasional ascending/descending stairs to deliver food, pick up dirty dishware, etc.
  • Repeating motions that may include wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Frequent use of hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms.
  • Constant bending, stooping, and turning to place dishes in machine, etc.
  • Constant exposure to hot and damp temperature fluctuations.
