Role SummaryThe Clinical Primary Therapist is responsible for providing therapeutic support to clients, either on an individual basis or in group settings, to effectively address various mental health issues. This role requires the application of professional knowledge and skills to facilitate client recovery and management of mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Establish a safe and supportive therapeutic environment that fosters client and family engagement in the recovery process.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to gather relevant data, leading to the formulation of clinical insights that guide the treatment planning process.
- Collaborate with clients and their families to set achievable treatment goals and identify appropriate interventions to facilitate progress.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation within client medical records, while coordinating care with other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment resources.
- Participate in on-call duties to provide mental health crisis evaluations as needed.
Education: A Master’s Degree in Mental Health, Social Work, or Art Therapy is required.
Licensure: Candidates must possess a valid New York State Mental Health Counselor License, Social Work License, Nurse's License, or License in Creative Arts Therapy. A clean NYS Driver's license is also necessary.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a mental health or hospital environment is required.
CompensationSalary Range: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00
Skills and Certifications- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health, or Creative Arts Therapy
- At least 1 year of experience in a hospital or outpatient mental health facility
