The anticipated salary range for this position is between $130,500 and $145,000, depending on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k) plan.


PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The role requires a deep mastery of skills and substantial subject matter expertise to effectively manage tasks related to the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and suggested modifications of nuclear operations training programs specific to plant requirements.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Enhances station and personnel performance through targeted training initiatives. Organizes and delivers performance-based training programs, both licensed and non-licensed, in alignment with Constellation's TSD model and departmental protocols, ensuring adherence to the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases.
  • Ensures that training programs remain up-to-date, integrating insights from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, Constellation NERs, NRC Circulars, Bulletins, and Information Notices, as well as updates from plant design changes, procedure revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness assessments.
  • Develops trainee assessments and conducts evaluations across classroom, laboratory, on-the-job training, and simulation environments, as appropriate, while providing guidance to trainees, assessing outcomes, and recommending tailored training programs.
  • Assists the station and fleet with business initiatives, project management, refueling outage support, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
  • Engages in NRC, INPO, and management audits, preparing responses to audit findings as necessary.
  • Maintains an up-to-date understanding of plant operations and relevant skills, ensuring the delivery of effective and high-quality training.
  • Oversees the collection and maintenance of training records and reports required to document training program activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possession of a current or previous senior reactor operator license OR
  • Prior reactor operator experience with a minimum of 4 years in the industry (must achieve SRO certification within 18 months) OR
  • Holding an SRO Certification with at least 4 years of related industry experience and 6 months of demonstrated teaching experience in LORT or ILT.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as science, engineering, or education/training.
  • Current or previous senior reactor operator license OR
  • An SRO Certification with a minimum of 6 years of related industry experience and 6 months of demonstrated teaching experience in LORT or ILT.
