Enrichment Teacher Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Enrichment Teacher to join our team at Carle Health. As an Enrichment Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing support to our educators and therapists to facilitate direct services and create a nurturing environment for our students.

About the Role

The Enrichment Teacher will be responsible for:

  • Encouraging children to use spoken language during play activities and serving as a positive speech and language role model in the classroom.
  • Ensuring materials and supplies are stocked and maintaining a clean and organized learning environment.
  • Facilitating children's development of independence in personal care, care for others, and care for their learning environment.
  • Implementing positive discipline strategies and providing support for self-regulation.
  • Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate enrichment plans and special activities for children.
  • Supporting volunteers and observers as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree in a related field or 60 semester hours of college credit.
  • A Paraprofessional Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) Illinois or Substitute Teaching License Illinois.
  • Food Handler Certification Illinois within 30 days of start date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience working with children and a positive attitude toward helping to improve young children's behavior and self-help skills.
