Role Summary:
The Bakery Supervisor at Nothing Bundt Cakes oversees the team and daily operations, which encompass all facets of customer interaction, cake creation, brand presentation, workplace atmosphere, financial management, and inventory oversight. The primary goal of this position is to enhance sales and profitability while ensuring that our guests receive top-notch cakes, a friendly environment, and exceptional service. The Bakery Supervisor embodies the core values of NbC and acts as a cultural ambassador, spreading joy within the bakery and the community while fostering the team's dedication to our guests and the NbC brand.
Key Responsibilities:
I. Team Leadership
• Champions the guest experience, exemplifies outstanding guest engagement, and cultivates a positive workplace culture.
• Attracts and selects talent, ensuring clear communication of performance expectations and effective training for team members.
• Regularly engages with team members to assess workload and progress, addressing challenges and making necessary adjustments.
• Provides ongoing coaching and feedback to develop the team and manage performance; conducts regular evaluations and addresses performance issues promptly.
• Clearly defines the role of the Assistant Manager, assigning specific duties to support the bakery's leadership and operations.
• Identifies potential leaders and cross-trains team members to enhance individual skills and ensure adequate bakery coverage.
- Maintains practical knowledge of all bakery roles and steps in to assist as needed.
• Manages the opening and closing procedures of the bakery, including cash management and bank transactions.
• Oversees special order processing through various channels for individual and corporate clients, including large orders and deliveries.
• Establishes and communicates weekly sales targets, cake production schedules, and team rosters, adjusting staffing based on business trends.
• Sets inventory levels based on production needs and sales forecasts, monitors stock, places supply orders, and conducts monthly inventory checks.
• Ensures that NbC product quality, service standards, bakery environment, and visual merchandising comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Controls all variable expenses, including labor, cost of goods sold, maintenance, and supplies, to maximize profitability.
• Handles administrative tasks, including payroll, sales reporting, labor tracking, and basic accounting functions.
III. Community Engagement
• Leads community outreach initiatives to enhance brand visibility and participates in events aligned with our brand values while responding to requests for contributions.
• Coordinates participation in special events with local businesses, schools, and community organizations.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED; additional education is advantageous.
• 1-3 years of leadership experience in managing teams and operations in retail, hospitality, or food service sectors.
• Proven success in team development, creating a superior service environment, and achieving financial goals.
• Experience in setting productivity targets, managing inventory levels, and controlling costs.
• Food safety training certification (or must obtain within a specified timeframe).
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
Work Availability:
Must be flexible to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
