Key Responsibilities:The Home Health Aide (HHA) plays a vital role in assisting clients with their daily living activities and personal care needs. Responsibilities include:
- Attending to the non-medical needs of clients as outlined in their Service Plan/Care Plan, which may encompass personal hygiene, bathing, and skincare.
- Assisting clients with mobility, including getting in and out of bed, and providing support with walkers and wheelchairs as necessary.
- Helping clients with specific health needs, such as managing colostomy bags and performing range of motion exercises.
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when required.
- Providing medication reminders and encouraging clients to follow prescribed exercise routines.
- Maintaining a safe environment by remaining in close proximity to clients during shifts and responding promptly to emergencies.
- Utilizing the HHA Exchange time management system for accurate clock-in and clock-out procedures.
- Documenting services rendered in compliance with company policies and reporting any changes in the client's condition to the supervisor.
- Adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
- Offering companionship and homemaker services to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Participating in quality assurance reviews and evaluations as requested.
- Staying updated with evolving technology and software relevant to the role.
- Upholding all company policies and procedures.
- Availability for weekend shifts is essential.
