Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with medical and surgical conditions, including those requiring telemetry monitoring.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care of each assigned patient, ensuring individualized care plans are developed and implemented.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff members, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Anticipate and respond to patient needs, ensuring timely and effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Coordinate the plan of care, collaborating with other nursing and ancillary services to ensure seamless communication and uninterrupted patient care.
- Conduct patient teaching, focusing on disease entity and home management, to promote patient empowerment and self-care.
- Model leadership behaviors, fostering a spirit of collaboration and teamwork, and mentoring peers and colleagues.
- Current RN license to practice Registered Nursing in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association.
- Chemotherapy Provider Card within 90 days of hire.
- Quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.
