Position: SAP Integrated Business Planning Consultant

Overview: The SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Consultant is responsible for delivering ongoing support and enhancement of SAP IBP systems. This role encompasses troubleshooting, user assistance, and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Assistance & Troubleshooting:
    • Serve as the main contact for users facing challenges with SAP IBP and related business processes.
    • Identify and rectify functional issues, errors, and system failures.
    • Provide prompt and effective solutions to minimize disruptions in business operations.
  • System Oversight & Maintenance:
    • Oversee system performance and conduct regular assessments to ensure reliability.
    • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including updates and patches, to maintain optimal system functionality.
    • Monitor process chains and execute validation procedures.
    • Schedule, oversee, and troubleshoot planning jobs.
    • Possess familiarity with ECC master data, including material master, bills of materials, routings, production versions, and MRP areas.
    • Manage CIF queue issues and conduct reconciliation activities.
    • Have knowledge of IBP RTO master data, including products, locations, resources, PPM, and PDS.
    • Understand IBP version management and perform administrative tasks such as initialization and consistency checks.
    • Execute master data validation procedures and collaborate with business teams to update missing values.
    • Document weekly planning cycle issues and collaborate with relevant teams for resolution.
    • Be knowledgeable about IBP administrative activities.
  • Configuration & Enhancement:
    • Support and maintain configurations for demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and sales & operations planning within SAP IBP.
    • Analyze system performance and pinpoint areas for enhancement. Implement improvements to optimize processes and system efficiency.
  • Documentation & Training:
    • Create and maintain documentation related to SAP IBP configurations, processes, and troubleshooting methods.
    • Provide training and support to users, aiding them in understanding system functionalities and best practices.
  • Issue Tracking & Reporting:
    • Document and track issues and their resolutions using appropriate ticketing systems.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on system performance, issue resolution, and user feedback.
  • Collaboration & Coordination:
    • Work closely with technical teams, business users, and internal IT to resolve complex issues and implement solutions.
    • Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure support activities align with business goals.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay informed about the latest SAP IBP features, updates, and industry trends.
    • Recommend and implement system enhancements and process improvements based on user feedback and system performance.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance:
    • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of SAP IBP solutions.
    • Identify and resolve issues during testing and post-implementation phases.
  • Training & Support:
    • Provide training and support to users on SAP IBP functionalities and best practices.
    • Create and maintain documentation related to SAP IBP processes and configurations.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Relevant SAP certification(s) in IBP or related SAP modules is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 5-7 years of experience as an SAP IBP Functional Consultant in both support and project roles. Knowledge of APO is an advantage.
    • Proven experience in supporting and troubleshooting SAP IBP modules such as Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Optimization.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of SAP IBP functionalities and business processes related to supply chain management.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex functional issues.
    • Effective communication skills, capable of interacting with both technical teams and business users.
    • Proficiency in creating and maintaining documentation and training materials.
  • Other:
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Willingness to participate in on-call support or extended hours if needed.
    • Knowledge of data integration and interface management with other systems.
