Cairn Partners is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Funeral Director to join our esteemed team. This full-time role is ideal for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of families during their time of need.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Funeral Director will be responsible for guiding families through the entire funeral service process. This includes:
- Coordinating and planning all service arrangements with the funeral home, event center, and cemetery.
- Ensuring all necessary certifications, permits, and notices are completed accurately and with meticulous attention to detail.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Possess an Associate of Arts degree in Mortuary Sciences.
- Complete a 1-year Funeral Director internship and a 2-year Embalmer internship, if newly licensed.
- Hold a current PA Life Insurance License (optional but advantageous).
- Obtain an Alcohol Server Permit and Food Handler's Card.
- Demonstrate the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Exhibit sensitivity and empathy towards families and individuals.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Be proficient in computer and technology usage.
- Thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Be available for night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Have a valid PA State Driver's License or the ability to obtain one with insurance.
- Additional language skills beyond English are a plus.
