Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) will provide patient care and handle intake and discharge processes for Wound Care Center patients as scheduled. This role may also serve as a Case Manager to a group of assigned patients, responsible for performing initial nursing assessments, communicating findings with physicians, assessing wound stage and measurements, documenting care plans, and evaluating patient status.
This position requires strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to translate complex technical terms into layman's terms. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support) and basic knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:- Provide patient care to Wound Care Center patients and handle patient intake and discharge processes as assigned and according to hospital and nursing standards.
- Assist in vein clinic as assigned after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training.
- May serve as Case Manager to a group of patients as assigned, responsible for performing initial nursing assessments, communicating findings with physicians, assessing wound stage and measurements, documenting care plans, and evaluating patient status.
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be able to stay calm in all situations and possess excellent customer service skills.
Requirements:- Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current RN license in the state of practice, to be maintained throughout employment in the position
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Medical Surgical, Home Health, or Wound Care Certification preferred
- Wound care experience preferred
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, based on education, experience, geography, and operational needs. In addition, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
