We are seeking a skilled Construction Manager to oversee clean energy projects, focusing on safety compliance, personnel management, and project scheduling. This position requires extensive travel across multiple states to manage field operations effectively. The role demands strong leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in the evolving renewable energy sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing clean energy projects from a site field office, concentrating on field coordination and production, safety, and quality compliance. Must be capable of up to 75% travel (e.g. 3 weeks or 15 days per month) by automobile, commercial airlines, rental vehicles, and public transportation. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.
We offer designated per diem in addition to base pay to support living expenses during the travel rotation. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided. The ideal candidate will be based in any city or state in the United States but may be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US.
Responsibilities
- Safety planning for all field operations and activities along a busy road right away, rock boring, environmental hazards, and fire hazard
- Personnel management, including setting production goals, safety goals, and quality goals.
- Identify resources needed, including personnel and equipment for job sites
- Manage and update the work schedule
- Contribute to monthly cost to complete projects and advise the Project Manager
- Weekly quantities completed and accurately reported
- Coordinate all equipment acquisitions through Procurement Department
- Review progress and performance weekly with the Project Manager
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or commensurate experience and training
- OSHA 30 Hour certification
- 5 years of field superintendent/management experience in the solar and/or wind markets
- Ability to manage a portable workforce
- CPM Scheduling
