Position Overview:
The Certified Nursing Assistant II (CNA 2) plays a crucial role in the Medical Surgical Unit at Providence Seaside Hospital. This position is designed for those who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and support within a collaborative healthcare environment.

Work Schedule:
This role is part-time, specifically during night shifts, requiring a commitment of 2-3, 12-hour shifts over a 6-week schedule. Participation in weekend and holiday rotations is expected.

Compensation and Benefits:
Providence offers a competitive compensation package, including:
- Evening shift differential of $2.25 per hour
- Night shift differential of $4.00 per hour
- A hiring bonus of $4,000 for eligible external hires meeting qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
As a CNA 2, your responsibilities will include:
1. Collaborating with a high-functioning team to enhance patient recovery.
2. Assisting Registered Nurses with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
3. Measuring and documenting vital signs, output, and weights.
4. Collecting specimens and conducting fingerstick capillary blood tests.
5. Aiding in patient mobility and transfers using safe handling techniques.
6. Engaging in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
7. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- Completion of an Oregon State Board of Nursing recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course.
- Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience as a CNA 2.
