Cardiovascular Technologist

Beaufort Memorial Hospital is a not-for-profit hospital located in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina. With a rich history dating back to 1944, the hospital has grown to become a regional referral center and the largest medical facility between Savannah, Ga., and Charleston, S.C.

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our experienced medical staff to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the hospital's mission of enhancing the quality of life in the Lowcountry.

• Perform procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory and angiographic suite under the direction of the Cardiovascular Services Manager and charge nurse.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and physicians to care for patients with cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an invasive procedure arena.
• Specialize in the care of patients undergoing basic diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including PTCA, stent prep and placement, IABP placement and operation, and various interventional radiology procedures.
• Operate physiologic and radiographic equipment in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining high standards to achieve quality patient care and keeping critical skills current.

• Graduate of CCAHEP or ASCP/SCP program with RCIS certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• RT license with RCIS certification preferred.
• Preferable Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience in the Adult Cardiac Catheterization Lab for more than one year.
• Must have documented competency in interpretation of EKG and hemodynamics.

• RCIS certification required within two years of hire date.
• South Carolina licensure required within 90 days of completion of certification.
• SCRQSA certification as Invasive Specialist required.
• BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift.
• ACLS certification required.
