The ideal candidate will possess a valid BLS certification and a Washington State Radiologic Technologist License, if ARRT certified in X-Ray or Computed Tomography. Additionally, they should have an active ARRT certification in MR.
Job DetailsA hospital in Washington is seeking an experienced MRI technologist for a travel contract. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in MRI imaging and will be required to participate in the holiday rotation.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe MRI technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures, including brain, neck, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, breast, cardiac, prostate, and musculoskeletal imaging. They will also be responsible for researching patients with implanted devices prior to imaging.
Equipment and SoftwareThe department uses EPIC and Sectra PACS software, and the technologist will be working with GE 1.5T and 3T scanners at the main hospital and Philips and Hitachi scanners at the outpatient clinics.
Communication and TeamworkThe successful candidate will be required to communicate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. They will also be working as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the imaging department.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in MRI imaging, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also be required to participate in the holiday rotation and be available to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
