Advanced Education Program Director of Pediatric Dentistry

Job Summary:

The UCLA School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time faculty position as Director of the Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the program, recruiting and training postgraduate students, and ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry
  • Recruit, train, and supervise postgraduate students
  • Ensure program compliance with Commission on Dental Accreditation requirements
  • Collaborate with the Predoctoral Program Director for clinical education of dental students
  • Work with other sections and advanced education programs to deliver interdisciplinary courses and patient care
Requirements:
  • DMD/DDS degree or equivalent
  • Certificate of completion of a postgraduate training program in Pediatric Dentistry
  • California dental license or special permit in dentistry (or be eligible to obtain)
  • Board certification by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in teaching research methodology to postdoctoral residents
  • Supervising the research of postdoctoral residents and postgraduate doctoral candidates
  • Track record of outstanding patient care
