Industrial Painter

Job Summary

Voss Industries, LLC is seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team in Berea, OH. As a key member of our Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes on various parts and components.

Responsibilities

• Apply coatings to meet customer specifications and industry requirements.
• Prepare workspaces for painting and maintain a clean environment.
• Clean or degrease parts as needed to ensure optimal coating results.
• Set up, adjust, and maintain spray and hanging equipment to ensure efficient coating processes.
• Select and mix coating liquids to precise specifications.
• Apply prime or finish coats to parts and areas inaccessible to hand sprayers using brushes.
• Ensure quality requirements are met through regular inspections and testing.
• Follow work orders to determine the appropriate surface spray and coating techniques.
• Sample and interpret testing specifications to ensure compliance.
• Perform timely and accurate documentation of work, including time cards, work instructions, and production records.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and operating procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on equipment and booths as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in painting various surface types.
• Understanding of coating techniques to meet desired thickness and quality.
• Proficiency in operating technical equipment and physically able to perform tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent dexterity.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read and interpret blueprints, procedures, and documents.
• Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Desire to work overtime as needed and ability to meet physical demands of the job.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
