General Purpose: As a Retail Operations Leader, you will be the driving force behind our store's success, guiding teams to enhance sales performance, integrate the Brand into the community, and deliver exceptional customer service. Your leadership will foster a culture of high performance and operational excellence, grounded in the principles of Goodwill Industries NYNJ.
Key Responsibilities:
RESULTS ORIENTATION: Analyze sales data to identify business needs and formulate strategies accordingly. Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) while holding the team accountable for achieving these targets. Coach and inspire your team to enhance their sales techniques and product knowledge.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: Ensure that all team members provide outstanding customer service. Promote brand loyalty by educating customers about our programs and benefits. Foster strong relationships with repeat customers and resolve any issues promptly and respectfully.
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT: Oversee cash control processes, manage store profitability, and ensure effective scheduling for optimal floor coverage. Collaborate with Loss Prevention to safeguard store assets and maintain a secure environment.
MERCHANDISING: Implement and uphold merchandising standards, ensuring the store reflects the desired visual image. Work closely with the warehouse and District Manager to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
HUMAN RESOURCES: Recruit, train, and develop a talented team, ensuring timely filling of positions with qualified candidates. Regularly assess team performance and provide constructive feedback to foster growth and development.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years in retail management is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and strong communication skills are necessary. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Open availability is required, including holidays.
Skills:
Demonstrated ability to achieve and surpass store objectives, build relationships, and adapt to customer needs. Strong attention to detail and flexibility in scheduling are essential.
