Job Description

The Teaching Medical Assistant Faculty Member will be responsible for teaching medical assistant courses, including both classroom and clinical instruction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical assisting principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The faculty member will also be responsible for developing and implementing course curriculum, assessing student learning, and providing support services to students. Additionally, the faculty member will contribute to the development of the Medical Assisting program and participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives.



Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a minimum of three (3) years of current clinical work experience in a healthcare setting. A degree in nursing, health education, or a related field is also required. Allied Health Practitioner certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in classroom and clinical skills instruction, as well as knowledge of medical assisting principles and practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for this role. Additionally, the faculty member will be required to maintain currency in their field, participate in professional development, and contribute to the development of the Medical Assisting program.



Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year

The estimated salary range for this role is $45,000 - $65,000 per year, based on education, experience, and location. This estimate is based on national averages and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
