Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Patient Care: Engage with patients to understand their medication needs, provide education on proper medication use, and offer guidance on healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Manage Medications: Review and verify prescriptions, ensure accurate dispensing, and maintain accurate records.
  • Operate Pharmacy: Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including inventory management, staff supervision, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff members to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Stay Current with Industry Developments: Maintain knowledge of the latest pharmacy practices, technologies, and regulations to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharmacist degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
