Job Summary

Ascension is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ascension St Joseph Hospital in Joliet, IL. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
  • Assist surgeons with hemostasis during surgery.
  • Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor and track instrument count throughout procedures.
  • Transport, position, and drape patients as needed.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification preferred.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
