LinQuest is in search of a Radio Frequency Spectrum Specialist to provide expertise in support of the Headquarters Space Operations Command's Battle Management Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) Directorate.
An active TS//SCI clearance is mandatory for consideration for this role.
The BMC3 Directorate plays a crucial role in assisting the Commander of Space Force Forces (COMSPACEFOR) by ensuring that BMC3 considerations are effectively integrated into Combatant Command plans and directives.
Additionally, it functions as a Super Mission Area Team, ensuring comprehensive integration and delivery of BMC3 capabilities across all Deltas, with a particular focus on elements that support the Nation's NC3 and ITW/AA capabilities.
A qualified candidate will possess experience in delivering spectrum analysis technical expertise and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop spectrum certification packages in collaboration with program offices, manufacturers, vendors, and other relevant organizations.
- Analyze Radio Frequency Allocations (RFAs) and RFA proposals submitted by subordinate entities.
- Prepare requests for temporary frequency licenses to facilitate specific testing, training events, and exercises.
- Ensure that spectrum-dependent systems can operate without interference.
Provide spectrum engineering and management support for technical and regulatory matters related to systems and networks overseen by HQ SpOC, including addressing spectrum transition requirements and activities associated with the auction of government spectrum to commercial services, as well as making spectrum engineering and regulatory decisions related to command operations.
Collaborate with the Air Force Spectrum Management Office (AFSMO), DoD CIO, and other agencies to identify USSF and HQ STARCOM interests, impacts, and mitigation strategies in proposed bands of interest for federal auctions.
Travel may be necessary for limited durations to support customer engagements.
Required Skills and Experience:
- An active TS//SCI clearance is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in spectrum management.
- Proven ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis, and recommendations.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and produce high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in collaborating with internal and external senior leaders, offices, directorates, and action officers.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Completion of the Joint Electronic Warfare Theater Operations Course or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) or Task Management Tool (TMT).
- National Telecommunications Information Administration Federal Spectrum Management Course.
- Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager's Course.
- Relevant operational experience in electromagnetic spectrum management within the Department of Defense (e.g., US Army or US Air Force).
- Experience at the Headquarters level in the US Space Force, US Air Force, Combatant Command, SpOC, STARCOM, or similar.
- BA/BS degree.
Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from approximately $110,000 to $125,000, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
