Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech therapy services to patients, including evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders, swallowing disorders, and video fluoroscopy swallowing studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' swallowing, speech, and language functions to identify areas of need and develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Perform evaluations and assessments within 48 hours of receiving medical orders.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy interventions to restore function and enhance quality of life.
  • Provide speech therapy services to patients, including treatment programs to improve cognition, swallowing function, and communication skills.
  • Establish and prioritize treatment goals, including time frames for achievement.
  • Document all clinical services rendered to patients, including equipment and supply needs.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Pennsylvania.
