Job Title: Factory Automation MES Engineer

iM3NY, a leading Lithium-Ion manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled Factory Automation MES Engineer to join our team in Endicott, NY.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented engineer to design, develop, and implement Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for our Li Ion cell manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will work closely with our engineering team to develop process and instrumentation drawings, architect the database, and establish the MES software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop P&ID for automated processes involved in Li Ion cell manufacturing
  • Architect database and establish MES software, including vendor selection
  • Design and develop GUI for factory operations, including attributes and performance specifications
  • Work with OEMs to understand equipment capabilities and develop control systems
  • Generate reports on facilities operations and integrate ancillary systems into ERP software
  • Assist with installation, start-up, and maintenance of manufacturing electrical equipment and control systems
  • Set up office IT and manage third-party desktop support/network administration
  • Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback to production management
  • Design and validate clinical databases and process clinical data
  • Monitor performance of quality control systems and develop project-specific data management plans
  • Participate in product specification development and support other internal functions as needed
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of experience in industrial, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Experience in MES software, network systems, and hardware necessary to manage data pipeline from manufacturing equipment
  • Deep understanding of DOE and control system skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interface with Engineers, Manufacturing, Marketing, Customers, and Management
  • Positive can-do attitude, creative problem-solving skills, and high level of confidentiality
  • Leadership skills and willingness to take initiative and drive the program forward
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment and willingness to wear multiple hats as needed
Education and Experience:
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related field
  • Experience in Ignition MES and/or ERP/MRP Systems a plus, but not required
