Essential Skills:
- 5-10 years of experience in designing and developing power electronics, particularly inverters for motors ranging from 50kW to 200kW
- Strong understanding of motor control theory for both surface and interior permanent magnet machines
- 3-5 years of aerospace experience with a solid foundation in DO-160 compliance
- 3-5 years of experience in writing embedded software in C for controlling inverters and/or other power electronics in aerospace contexts
- 3-5 years of familiarity with DO-178B software requirements for aerospace applications
- Proficient in schematic capture and PCB design
- Experience in component selection
- Proven track record of designing, building, and testing high voltage/high power systems
- Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field with a specialization in power electronics
- Knowledge of Altium Designer
- Experience with wide bandgap semiconductors
- Familiarity with regulatory certification processes
- Expertise in design-for-reliability, including DFMEA and fault tree analysis
- Experience designing for high EMI environments
- Knowledge of battery systems
