Job Opportunity: Welder I

Calgon Carbon, a leading innovator in air and water purification, is seeking a skilled Welder I to join our team. As a key member of our Equipment & Assembly Plant in Pittsburgh, PA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform tack welding and finish welding of piping systems using SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding procedures.
  • Weld vessels and structural components using SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding processes.
  • Inspect own work to ensure compliance with drawings and weld procedures, making necessary repairs.
  • Operate Fork trucks, jib cranes, and overhead crane after training.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • 2-3 years of welding experience required.
  • ASME code welding preferred.
