Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Truck Loader to join our team at Steel Technologies LLC. As a Truck Loader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement and transportation of materials to and from storage areas and workstations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and load material properly to meet customer and production requirements
  • Operate forklift and/or overhead crane to transport materials to and from storage areas and workstations
  • Load, unload, and stack materials in accordance with established procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date forklift certification and/or crane training
  • Pull and compare inventory tags and ensure accuracy of load
  • Monitor loading process and ensure proper signing of shipping paperwork
  • Communicate non-compliance problems to supervisor and/or shift lead
  • Housekeeping and cleaning of truck docks and storage area
  • Retain loading requirements and schedule flow of carriers in and out of loading area

Requirements
  • Ability to accurately select and load material properly to meet customer and production requirements
  • Ability to accurately use tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to read and understand material tags and shipping/receiving documentation
  • Knowledge of raw materials and shipping/receiving processes
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
