We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Airport Floor Technician to join our team at the City of Boise, ID. As an Airport Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of airport facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for passengers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain various floor cleaning equipment, including industrial scrubbers, polishers, and vacuums.
  • Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot issues with equipment and cleaning supplies.
  • Clean airport floors, including terminals, hallways, restrooms, and public areas, using specialized equipment.
  • Address spills, stains, and other cleanliness concerns promptly and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with the custodial team to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to airport cleanliness.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to schedule and prioritize floor cleaning activities to minimize disruptions to airport operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Provide regular reports on floor cleaning activities, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4 years of experience working in the custodial field.
  • Working knowledge of common custodial practices and cleaning products and supplies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour General Industry Training course.
  • Licensing and Other Requirements: Complete Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Certifications for 100 & 700 Courses within six months of being hired.
Working Conditions:

Physical Efforts: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is always lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds and occasionally lifting/carrying up to 100 pounds.
