Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Float Pool team at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. As a Medical Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, develop a plan of care, and implement and evaluate care.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of care.
  • Formulate a plan of care, revise the plan based on the patient's response to treatment, and regularly evaluate the plan for effectiveness.
  • Consult and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate, and revise the plan of care to meet the patient's needs and goals.
  • Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy.
  • Delegate work appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative patient care.
  • Provide education materials to patients and families on care and treatments.
  • Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team.
Requirements
  • 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
  • This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state, and/or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
