Job Overview:

Western Mass News is in search of a dedicated and creative visual editor/photojournalist to join our award-winning news team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, skilled newsroom environment. Experience with non-linear editing equipment is essential, along with the ability to perform under tight deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture and edit video and audio content for all WMN multimedia platforms
  • Demonstrate proficiency in videography and video editing
  • Collaborate effectively to gather news, whether as part of a team or independently
  • Ensure proper maintenance of assigned equipment and live devices (Live U)

Qualifications:

- 1-2 years of experience in television editing/photography or relevant internships

  • Availability for flexible work hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, weekends, and potential overtime.
