The Advanced Family Nurse Practitioner plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive medical care to patients, in accordance with physician directives. This position involves performing thorough health assessments, implementing preventive care strategies, prescribing necessary medications, and providing clinical evaluations and diagnoses.
The practitioner will work collaboratively with the healthcare team, ensuring compliance with Nurse Practitioner licensure standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Collects, analyzes, and interprets client data pertinent to medical care.
- Addresses the physical, emotional, and cultural needs of clients.
- Conducts screenings, manages medications, and prioritizes care plans.
- Promotes family engagement and educates clients on health management.
- Diagnoses and treats a variety of acute, chronic, or episodic health issues.
- Assists in the smooth operation of clinical services while maintaining high-quality care.
- Records observations, interventions, and evaluations promptly and accurately.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to establish and achieve patient outcome goals.
- Implements healthcare strategies and prescribes appropriate medications.
- Reviews clinical documentation and provides support to the medical staff.
- Prepares patient discharge summaries and participates in on-call duties.
- Focuses on health promotion and disease prevention, with the ability to interpret diagnostic tests.
- Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution is required.
- Experience in prescribing essential psychotropic medications.
- Clinical experience with the relevant patient population and a background as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license and CPR certification are mandatory.
- Training in first aid and de-escalation techniques may be necessary.
