Overview:
The Linen Operations Technician is responsible for the receipt, stocking, issuance, collection, and transportation of linens and related equipment. This role involves performing daily inventory counts to manage overages and shortages while ensuring cleanliness and sanitary conditions within the department.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Efficiently receives, stocks, issues, collects, and transports linens and equipment across various facilities.
2. Conducts daily inventory counts to track overages and shortages, assisting with inventory management and maintaining cleanliness standards.
3. Supplies ancillary areas with linens by adhering to established par levels.

  • Responds promptly to all phone requests for linen services.
  • Ensures scrub machines are filled and serviced according to computer-generated pick lists.
  • Enters patient rooms while respecting privacy and confidentiality.
  • Collects soiled linens following established procedures to avoid cross-contamination.
  • Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Ensures sanitary conditions in the department by emptying trash and boxes and sweeping floors daily.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
1. Previous experience in linen operations is advantageous.
2. Familiarity with various organizational levels is preferred.
3. Experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial.
4. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is desirable.

Education:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
2. Ability to read and comprehend signs, warnings, and work instructions, as well as write necessary forms.
3. Demonstrates strong customer service skills.

Experience:
1. 0 to 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
2. No supervisory experience required.
