Job Overview

An educator at Enlightened Care LLC is tasked with creating and sustaining a secure, healthy, and nurturing educational atmosphere. Additionally, a lead educator collaborates with an assistant educator and works alongside the entire teaching staff.

Essential Qualifications

  • Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age;
  • Must undergo a background verification and drug screening;
  • Must possess the physical capability to bend and lift;
  • Must be able to remain seated or standing for extended durations;
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM;
  • Must have the ability to comprehend and support the educational program based on the "learning through play" philosophy;
  • Must be able to engage closely with children at their level;
  • Must ensure children are supervised at all times;
  • Must be capable of assisting with diaper changes and toileting;
  • Must communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, children, and parents.

Educational Requirements

  • Candidates seeking consideration for the educator position must meet one or more of the following educational standards:
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • A current Child Development Associate (CDA) or Early Childhood Teaching Credential;
  • An Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related discipline;
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Child Development.

The responsibilities of an educator may encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

Establish and Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Learning Environment

  • Develop an effective classroom management strategy that aligns with the goals and developmental stages of the children;
  • Ensure that classroom resources are well-maintained;
  • Understand and implement emergency procedures as required;
  • Encourage healthy eating habits during meals and snacks;
  • Ensure compliance with state supervision ratios;
  • Address minor cleaning tasks promptly;
  • Conduct thorough cleaning during non-class hours.

Enhance Children's Physical and Intellectual Development

  • Tailor programs to accommodate the unique needs of each child;
  • Create a culturally diverse learning environment;
  • Offer a range of developmentally suitable activities to engage children in learning;
  • Interact with children to foster play, exploration, and learning;
  • Encourage peer-to-peer interaction and communication with faculty;
  • Set age-appropriate expectations for all children;
  • Establish a print-rich classroom environment;
  • Promote creativity through art, music, dramatic play, and building activities;
  • Provide opportunities for both active and quiet play;
  • Incorporate enrichment programs into lesson plans.
