Job Title: Pediatric Neurologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Neurologist to join our team at Phoenix Children's Hospital.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating neurological conditions in infants, children, and adolescents. They will provide comprehensive and compassionate care to pediatric patients, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat neurological disorders in pediatric patients, including but not limited to epilepsy, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, genetic disorders, and neuromuscular diseases.
  • Provide patient education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to actively participate in their child's care and make informed decisions about treatment.
  • Collaborate with other pediatric specialists, including pediatricians, pediatric neurosurgeons, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to provide comprehensive care for pediatric patients with complex neurological conditions.
  • Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatric neurology, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
Requirements:
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or eligibility in pediatric neurology.
  • Completion of an accredited pediatric neurology residency program.
  • Arizona State Medical license.
  • Excellent clinical skills and diagnostic acumen in pediatric neurology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care to pediatric patients and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty of pediatric neurology (i.e. epilepsy, neuromuscular, neurocritical care, neuroimmunology).
  • Experience with advanced diagnostic techniques such as electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG) and genetic testing.
  • Track record of scholarly achievements including publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national conferences.
  • Experience in medical education and teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.
