We're seeking a highly skilled Fabricator II (Metal) to join our team at ROUSH. This individual will be responsible for fabricating or modifying metal components and welding exhaust tubes and bosses.

About the Job

This role will provide fabrication support for the garage and shop services teams. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of fabrication work experience and 2 years of TIG or MIG welding experience. They should also be able to read and interpret blueprints, rough sketches, or engineer drawings to shape metal according to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Fabricate or modify brackets and other components
  2. Weld exhaust tubes and bosses
  3. Operate band saws, material brakes, and material shears
  4. Reads, interprets, and follows blueprints, rough sketches, or engineer drawings
  5. Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of fabrication work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of TIG or MIG welding experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating power brakes, shears and bench machines
  • Intermediate technical knowledge with reading, understanding, and executing fabrication and welding blueprints, schematics, and codes
  • Ability to TIG and MIG weld steel, stainless steel, cast and aluminum
  • Advanced knowledge to safely operate fabrication shop machinery equipment
  • Strong customer service skills, detail oriented, good communication skills

The estimated salary for this position is $58,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
