Job Description

The Process Engineer III will provide engineering leadership and guidance in the areas of process control, troubleshooting, cost improvement, product quality improvement, cycle time reduction, and product and process development. This role will work closely with operators, engineering, maintenance, quality, management, T&I, and production planning to accomplish these tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with and support all EH&S and quality programs, trainings, and policies while operating in a safe, honest, and ethical manner.
  • Utilize statistical process control methodologies to oversee the manufacture of quality product by implementing and maintaining process control systems and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide leadership and support for project teams to troubleshoot process issues and achieve continuous improvements in areas such as safety, quality, throughput, cost, and/or machine reliability.
  • Maintain open and frequent communications with operators and other engineers about equipment status and collaborate on improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and collaborate with other engineers for complaint resolution activities including root cause analysis and corrective and preventative actions for any complaints for the assigned area.
  • Provide manufacturing capability information and improvement opportunities to product management teams to improve product margins.
  • Support efforts to identify, prioritize, and determine business impact of strategic and tactical process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent (Materials, Metallurgical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline); advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5 - 8 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Green Belt certification is required or needs to be gained within 2 years from hire date.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex assignments / projects.
  • Strong written and presentation skills.
  • Willingness and eagerness to learn, receive, and provide coaching.
  • Demonstrated history of operating with sense of urgency and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Green Belt or Black Belt experience.
  • Proven record of working with strategic business teams to support top and/or bottom-line growth.

Salary Range: $87,800 - $114,000 per year
