Job Summary

Visiting Angels is seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities: Provide assistance with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed.
  • Companionship and Socialization: Engage in friendly conversation, play games, and participate in activities that promote socialization and mental stimulation.
  • Meal Preparation and Assistance: Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation, ensuring our clients receive nutritious and delicious meals.
  • Light Housekeeping and Laundry: Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and ironing, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Transportation and Errands: Accompany clients on outings, run errands, and provide transportation to appointments and activities.
  • Record Keeping and Communication: Maintain accurate records of client progress, services provided, and any changes in client condition, ensuring effective communication with our management team and clients' families.
  • Safety and Emergency Procedures: Conduct regular safety checks, report any hazards or incidents, and respond to emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
  • Confidentiality and Respect: Maintain the confidentiality and dignity of our clients, respecting their privacy and property at all times.
  • Teamwork and Flexibility: Collaborate with our management team, clients, and families to ensure seamless care and support, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities as needed.
Requirements
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and respond diplomatically.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude in the face of changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, reach, stretch, walk, and climb stairs as needed.
  • Background and Certification: Possess a valid TB test, maintain current certification, and comply with all licensing, certification, and background testing requirements.
